About this Cook
I am a mother of 3 boys, ages 8 months, 6 years, and 8 years. I have been married 3 years, and love every minute of it. I stay very busy, between work, kids, and getting food on the table, but always insist on having a home-cooked meal. I love cooking for my family, and getting their feedback as to how I can make it better next time.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook bread, candies, and I try to find new recipes for other things all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
To be honest, the majority of my family can't cook worth a lick. It's amazing my siblings and I have such a knack for it. The only traditions we carry are during the holidays, really.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the whole bread baking technique was quite a triumph, I couldnt figure out for the longest time why my bread was turning out dense and the crust was sooooooo hard and thick. After much research, I get soft, fluffly loaves, every time.
My cooking tragedies
I've never really had a cooking tragedy yet. Just learning experiences.

Pat's Baked Beans
An absolute hit! My husband requested baked beans for dinner, and I lost my grandma's recipe. This was the closest resemblence to it, so decided to give it a try. I halved the recipe, and used dry small red beans and dry pinto beans that I had cooked the day before. My children (which are the absolute most picky eaters in the universe!) asked if they could have seconds!!! That is unheard of with my kids! My husband also loved them! I will DEFINITELY be making these again!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Best Stovetop BBQ Ribs
This was AMAZING! I quadrupled the marinade as well as adding a 1/4c molasses. I didn't have A1 either, so I used 1/2 c bbq sauce and 1/4 vineagar instead. I marinated this for 18 hours in a ziploc bag, and then cooked them on the stovetop ofr approx 2 hours. They literally fell of the bone! My hubby insisted they were better than any restaurant ribs he's ever had!

Cherry Cheese Pie
The filling for this pie was absolutely heavenly! I used strawberry filling instead of cherry because its what my hubby prefers. I would have given it a 5 star rating except I wasnt too thrilled about the crust. I think next time I will stick with a graham cracker crust. Definately simple though, and delicious!
