Stay at home Mom. Starting to sell my baked goods to help supplement our income so that I can continue to stay home with our Daughter
My favorite things to cook
Hmmm...so many things...cakes, gourmet desserts (truffles, candies), For our everyday eating I enjoy preparing any kind of food that is healthy for my family. I love using fresh vegetables in my cooking(especially if it comes from our garden--organic--woo-hoo!). It always makes me sad in the grocery store when I see someone with a cart full of pre-made frozen foods. Is that what they are feeding their bodies??
Whatelse....I am not so much into making fried foods. I am afraid of hot popping grease!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dont think we have any???? I am compiling recipes as I go. Hoping to pass a book of good cooking down to my daughter and so on...
My cooking triumphs
My husband is always raving about everything I make. His mother is a good cook, so he doesn't like just anything! We have a policy--if it isn't good, he tells me. No sense in wasting food on something that doesn't taste great! I try to use all Organic ingredients. Once we had 2 friends over for dinner who are sorta skeptical about the whole Organic food thing. They figured Organic=no taste. After raving about the meal I had made and requesting the recipes--much to their surprise--they found out it was an Organic meal!! (It was chicken wrapped in phyllo, oven raosted potatoes with a parmesan seasoning, and steamed green veggies)
My cooking tragedies
I misread the ingredients in a chocolate cake recipes once and it came out all gooey in the middle--not so good :(
