My family and I have really been blessed by this recipe, I cook it at least once a week. I use Red Beans and Black Beans. I like the seasonings just the way they are. I like cabbage so I put about 7 cups of cabbage. I chop the cabbage very thin. I have told a lot of people about this recipe. My 2 grandchildren love this. They are 11 and 6. This is a very good recipe , a friend gave me a recipe simalar to this, but my has 2 can of Northern bean and 2 cans of shopeg corn. In a single bowl you put crumbled corn chipw and then some grate monteryjack cheese on top os chips then the soup, to me this is delicious. Someone may try this variation

This was to much cheese, so the next time I cook it I will cut the cheese in half or use a whole box of spaghetti, I think it would be good also with some sliced black olives
