About this Cook
I am married to a wonderful Godly man and I am a busy mom of 3 kids, Julian 15, Bailey 11 and Micah 3. We live in Thailand and love the Asian culture. I like to garden, cook and home decorate. Jesus Christ is my passion and caring for His children (my family) is my joy!
My favorite things to cook
Mexican dishes, anything Italian, cakes, cookies, pastries, anything chocolate, southern cooking (fried and/or smothered), comfort foods, slow cooker meals, breakfast foods, baked goods
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving day and all of December
My cooking triumphs
German chocolate cake from scratch, cranberry stuffed porkchops, New York style bagels, enchiladas, Reese's peanut butter cups,
My cooking tragedies
too many to list (living in another culture where you can't get a lot of common American ingredients, is a sure fire setup for disaster) but this trial and error cooking has forced me to be a better cook.

Boudreaux's Zydeco Stomp Gumbo
All I can say is "Lawd have mercy!" Dis is da real deal. I am from the gulf coast area and have eaten a-many-a-bowl of gumbo in my day. If you are looking for the perfect gumbo recipe, you can stop, you have just found it! Thanks Boudreaux!

Minestrone Soup I
This was really good. I didn't have any carrots or potatoes and it was great without it. The flavor is wonderful. I served homemade breadsticks with it (from this site) and the kids ate it up. Thanks!

Baked Potato Soup
Absolutely delicious and easy, too. I have had a hard time getting my kids to eat potato soup but not with this recipe. They were licking their bowls and asking for more. Thanks!
