About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom with a toddler and I go to school part time. I've always loved cooking and come from a family who loves it as well. I was a vegan for 7 years and also tried raw foodism for a short time. I really enjoyed experimenting with and creating new recipes with higher nutrient content.
My favorite things to cook
Anything new and interesting that does not require a bunch of ingredients that I don't have on hand (only because that's not in the budget right now!!) I've always enjoyed making baked goods, especially breads and muffins. I prefer to cook healthier recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've always just enjoyed watching my mother cook and trying whatever she makes. My mother is not a chef, but I consider her cooking to be gourmet. From the time I was small, everything was homemade, healthy, and beautifully made. I enjoy scouring through her extensive collection of cookbooks and cooking magazines for something new. Another tradition I always loved was helping my Great Grandmother make her sweet dinner rolls for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They were the most delicious rolls EVER. She never measured anything and they always came out dark, shiny, and crispy on top with a really soft fluffy center. She has since passed away and no one in our family has been able to successfully recreate them yet!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III
This is super rich dessert, but very tastey. It would be great with fresh berries and cream!!!

Awesome pretzels! My fiance begs for me to make them dipped in butter and cinnamon sugar.
