Group Effort Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This is a very good base recipe. I really liked the white chedder, and like other reviewers, I sauteed the red peppers and spinach. It's missing something though, maybe next time I will add some onions or garlic.... Update 05/06/09: Ok so I've been tweeking this since my last review. I use frozen chopped spinach, cooked in the microwave, I sautee the red peppers, then set aside, in the same skillet, I melt 3/4 cup of butter and 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, then I season to taste with seasoning salt, garlic powder, oregano, and onion powder. I add the hot pasta and cooked spinach to the butter sauce, stir around, then top with the sauteed peppers, crisp bacon, and top it all off with freshly shredded sharp white chedder. This is now my BF's favorite dish, and he is a meat and potatoes kind of guy!!!.

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
This was very good. I made a few changes, I use regular cream of mushroom soup, then mixed 1 cup of shredded swiss cheese into the mix. Then after it bakked for 25 mins, I put the frenchs onions on top in a circle, then 1/2 cup of swiss cheese in the middle and baked an additional 8 mins.

Barbecued Beef Ribs for Two

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I used this recipe more for the cooking instructions, I had no idea how to make ribs. These were outstanding!! My boyfriend said "OMG-WOW"!! The only thing I changed was I used pork western ribs, my store did not have any beef. I covered with foil for the first 45 mins, then uncovered for the last 15 mins. Thanks for teaching me how to make ribs!!

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
Putting bacon on the chicken kabobs is the best idea!! I had a cookout, and everybody loved them. I had already gone shopping so I used a store bought marinade on the chicken, and the bacon I used was thick cut, zesty-peppercorn bacon, rotated with red and green bell peppers and fresh pineapple. Very good!!!

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
This is a great weekday recipe!! I followed other reviews suggestions regard the fine pepper, and I only used 1/2 of a vadalia onion. a whole onion was too much for our tastes. We really liked it, will definately make this again and again!! Thanks for the recipe.

Broccoli and Garlic Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
Not a main course, unless you add chicken and something more for flavor. I won't make this again, even as a side dish, I can make one from a box that has more flavor and more economical.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
i am only rating this a 3 because I didn't care for it the first time I made it, but have made some modifications since then and now I love this pot roast. I used a 2lbs chuck roast, 1 clove of garlic, 1 can Golden Cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of coca-cola and 1 packet of the dry onion soup mix, and a chopped onion.

This was good. I changed it up a little to suit our tastes. I used taco seasoning packet and tomato sauce instead of water for the taco meat, and I added chopped red pepper on top.

Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Very Very Good!!I followed the other reviewers suggestions and this is what I came up with. I used 1 can of pinapple juice, 2 heaping tablespoons of brown sugar, and a few dashes of 50% sodium soy sauce, I brought that to a boil in a sauce pan, then simmered untill it thickend. I seasoned my chicken with grillmates monterey chicken, lightly browned it in a skillet. then transfered to baking dish, added the pineapple chunks and basted it with the sauce.

Taco Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
This was very good, Everybody loved it and my sister, who doesn't like anything even asked for the recipe. The only changes I made were, I added a chopped red bell pepper, use 1.5 cans of thick and zesty tomato sauce and crunched up some tostitos on top when I baked it. It was a little dry for my tastes, so next time I will double the tomato sauce. But I will definately make this on a regular basis. UPDATE: I make this all the time now, I have fixed the dryness - 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can of diced tomatoes.
