My best friend and I meeting Curtis Stone
About this Cook
I have lived in Morgantown all my life. I have a beautiful daughter and great husband. I have always enjoyed cooking but have been really getting into more since I quit my job and have time to actually experiment and learn.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy trying to cook anything. It depends on my mood--If I am tired I like doing stuff in the slow-cooker or a pasta dish. Other times I like a challenge and try something new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom doea ALOT of canning. She cans veggie soup, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, peppers, green beans....the list goes on and on. I am hoping to learn this great family tradition so I can carry it on.
My cooking triumphs
Tonight I made a dish using pork chops, apples, rasins, cinnamon with a sauce of apple and orange juice. Was scared when I served it but it was a hit.
My cooking tragedies
I made stuffed green peppers and did not have any instant rice. So I ran to my mom's and borrowed some long grain rice. I did not realize it needed to be cooked...anyway my stuffed peppers had a little extra crunch.
