My name is Chompy and I’m a goose. But I’m not a regular goose. I really like maps and also cooking. Seaweed, tree bark, insects, hot dogs, grilled cheese, anything that crosses my path really. I’m not fussy. Ever hear of eggs Florentine? Yah, that was invented by my great grandfather Florentine. He’s Italian. He’s pretty famous. Once, I had a really awesome pretzel in a park in New York. Someone was sitting on a bench and throwing bits of it at me. Imagine? Just throwing bits of pretzel on the ground? I don’t know why someone would throw away perfectly good bits of pretzel. I’m not sure it qualifies as a “cooking triumph” because I didn’t actually cook the pretzel, but it sure was a good day. Sometimes, when I make cookies, the cookie dough doesn’t make it in the oven and I end up eating it all. But I don’t really consider that a tragedy. Except for the person who I was baking the cookies for. It’s kind of tragic for them I guess.
