I grew up the only child of a second generation Italian. She rarely let me in the kitchen because she claimed I was uner her feet. When I moved out on my own, my husband did a lot of the cooking. Once I got pregnant, and he wasn't getting hom till late at night, it was cook or starve. I started in slow and have been getting better every day. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes now. I love to do little snacks and desserts for my husband and daughter. I love doing holiday baking too. Once fall comes, it's something new every week. Cookies for Santa. A gingerbread pumpkin trifle. It came out great. And my husband who's not a big fan of pumpkin, LOVED it. I once forgot spaghetti was on thestove and went out for an hour or 2 and ended up burning a hole right through the pot. Turns out you can't boil spaghetti for 2 hours. It could've been a lot worse though.
