About this Cook
I've just recently begun this whole cooking adventure. It all began by becoming a vegetarian and realizing, surprise!, there are not a lot of healthy, vegetarian friendly options on-the-go. So, I decided to make my own.
My favorite things to cook
Man does not live by carbs alone (but I would if I could!). Potatoes, pasta, you name the starch, I'll eat it. Thankfully, there are healthy ways to incorporate them now...
My favorite family cooking traditions
One thing I miss about being vegetarian: Polish kielbasa. It's a family tradition every holiday breakfast along with kapusta and babka.
My cooking triumphs
The black bean vegetarian burgers ont his site. I had the meat eaters and veggies alike asking for seconds.
My cooking tragedies
Oh God. Chocolate souffle is my mortal enemy. So very bad. I'd never known it was possible for chocolate to taste so. very. awful.

Red Pepper Soup
Simple, tasty and inexpensive. Great soup! I highly recommend following other reviewer's suggestions of : pureeing with an immersion blender (no straining) and also, to add just a touch of cayenne if you like a bit of kick. Fantastic soup..Thanks for posting the recipe!

Avocado Feta Salsa
Delicious! I highly recommend seasoning to taste, though. It can be a little bland when you follow the recipe exactly, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. All in all, great idea and very nice combination of flavors!

African Peanut Soup
This recipe is delicious! Depending on your preference, I would recommend adding a little spice. After following the original recipe, I added in some chili powder and Tabasco to taste. Very unique flavor and great texture.
