Baked Quinces with Cinnamon
Baked Quinces with Cinnamon
About this Cook
I am 37 years old. My first attempt at cooking was when I was 14 years old. I prepared spaghetti with tomato sauce. It was a great success and a pleasant surprise for my working mother. Now that I live in a cottage and have my own vegetables and poultry, cooking is not just a hobby. It is a way to express my creativity.
My favorite things to cook
Anything new that sounds tasty and is not extravagant rises my curiosity. I also love to make alterations to common recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family's moto is "There are no favorite dishes. There are dishes just not well cooked".
My cooking triumphs
I think of my cooking as little everyday marvels. It isn't anything extraordinary or extremely gorgeous. However I boast for transforming my junk-food lover husband to a vegetable eater.
My cooking tragedies
I can't forget my, by mistake, twice-salted risotto that I have cooked at my first date with my future husband. However this accident prepared him for my "experimental" cooking.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread
I replaced half water with fresh milk, since I didn't have any milk powder. I experimented with different amounts of honey. 2 tbs is the best. A delicious whole wheat bread. Not heavy at all.

Crepes
So delicious and super easy! I didn't wait for the whole hour, just a few minutes. Next time I will definitely double the recipe.

Mini Corn Dogs
These mini corn dogs are very good for parties. I also used other fillings e.g. kalamata olives, cheddar cheese cut into cubes… They were all great! But the recipe needs some adjustments. I cut the milk to 2/3 of a cup (about 150 ml) and used only the egg white to brush the corn dogs. For the sauce I mixed equal parts of prepared mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise.
