Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Very good recipe. First time I used the cinn/sugar mixture as a coating and I really liked that idea. I used 3 9x5 loaf pans and baked them for 1hr 5 mins and they turned out beautifully. These were gifts so I didn't put the walnuts. When I make this for myself and family, I will definetely use the nuts.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I would give these 10 starts if I could. Just made these for the first time and AMAZING is all I have to say. My 5 year daughter and husband can't keep their hands off of them already. Husband poured himself a glass of milk to go with them. Do freeze the peanut butter cups before putting in cookies and than put outside to cook off. We live in Nebraska and it's 11 degrees out so it works better than the freezer. If you screw this recipe up, you shouldn't be in the kitchen.

Spintz Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Made this for my Dad's 65th Birthday. He loved it. Followed the directions exactly and the cake came out perfect. My almost 5 year old usually never eats the frosting off of anything but this, she only ate the frosting. She did try a bit of the cake, but loved the frosting. I could see how some people would think the filling and frosting is to thick. I didn't mind as I hate frostings and fillings that are too runny. Will definitely make again. Amazing with vanilla ice cream.

Frog Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
I just made these for my 4 year old daughters preschool class. Cute idea, but my problem was getting the marshmellows to say on. Next time I will use the green icing as glue when putting them on. The icing on the cupcake alone didn't hold some very well. This is not a project for little kids to help with. Pretty much to wrap it up, as these are very cute but a major pain in the rear. But us moms do anything for our kids.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I am a farmwife so I decided to try this recipe after reading the reviews. I took the suggestion of other reviews and doubled the crust recipe and I had read were some people either used no water or 1/4 cup of water. I replaced the water with 1/4 cup of rum sprinkled over the apples then put the crust on top. The rum in it was good. Then I took out some Whipped Cream to put on top of the apple crisp and than drizzled some caramel topping over all of it. The guys said the only thing they would have liked better was ice cream instead of whipped cream but ice cream is hard to take out to the field.
