I am a 48 yr old single dad. I have been cooking in resturants and in private homes for 20 years. I have recently taken up desserts. I also cook for my church and for functions at my child's school.
My favorite things to cook
I really have no favorite, I just strive for the food I serve to be accepted by the ones eating and that is reward enough for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thansgiving ....early morning chopping and preparation of the dressing and turkey, to be put in the oven...the potatos both sweet and white baked and boiled. The spinach and onions toped w/ slices of egg. The fresh cranberry sauce fron the can.
My cooking triumphs
I have surprised myself many times over and have pleased many palets along the way.

A good cook does not dwell on the past , but moves ahead with the knowledge and makes it better.
