Honey Barbecued Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This is not a really saucy ribs recipe. When my husband saw this, he seemed a bit disappointed. Then he tried it. This is the only barbecue ribs recipe he will let me use! I love that I always have the ingredients onhand. I think I've made this three or four times already. It's my staple. Love it. Thanks!

Turkey Lo Mein

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This had been in my recipe box for a long time, and I'm so glad that I finally made it! Delicious, and a cheap & easy weeknight meal. At the suggestion of another review, I only used one seasoning packet. I will make it again.

This was very good! I served it on a pita with hummus, tomato, and cucumber.

Secret Sauce Chicken

It was pretty good. I used this to marinate both chicken and beef steak. We much preferred it with the beef. Definitely won't use it for chicken again, though.

This is a great recipe. I made it one time subbing almonds for the walnuts. Yummy!

Baked Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This was absolutely fabulous! I have made it twice. First, I used the mozzarella and the Pesto Sauce recipe from this site. Very nice. The next time, I used some tomato-basil gouda that I had in the fridge. This was TO DIE FOR. Make it!

Tammy's Philly Cheese Steak Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
This was absolutely great! I served it on sourdough toasts. I think next time I may double the onions and peppers, and halve the cream cheese to make it more like a spread than a dip. This is a keeper!

Slow Cooker Venison Burritos

I am the submitter of this recipe. I just want to make a couple notes. Make sure you use THREE (3) ounces of cream cheese, not the full 8 ounce block. Also, the mexican cheese blend is optional. Enjoy!

Cheeseburger Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
This is certainly interesting, but good. My husband was perplexed at just the idea of it. He said it was "okay. A fun experience." I served it with the Secret Burger Sauce from this site, at the suggestion of other viewers. After absolutely burning the first few black, I found that frying over medium-low worked best for me and my stove. This recipe further confirmed that I am terrible at making pancakes, but on the plus side I got one that looked like Texas and one that looked like a puppy. So if you are looking for something interesting to make that tastes pretty good, give it a shot. But I don't think it will make it into my rotation.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
Delicious! I followed the suggestion of other reviewers and used only 8 cups of water. We LOVED it! I'm not really a soup person, but it was hearty and I didn't feel like I needed a sandwich to make the meal. It makes a ton, so we froze half.

Pretty bland. I even added extra vegetables for more color. I won't make it again.

Vegetarian Korma

We loved this! The reason I give it only four stars is because I really think that it needs yogurt as opposed to the cream. Next time I make this I will try it that way.

Black Beans, Corn, and Yellow Rice

I think there may be a typo in the amount of water. According to the directions on the box of rice, you will need 2 1/2 cups of water. I thought this was delicious and easy. I served it with the Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken from this site. A very nice weeknight meal!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Very good! I substituted a cup whole wheat flour for some of the bread flour and it was wonderful. The bread itself was a bit more rustic than I was expecting, but it was a good surprise! I will certainly make it again.

Orange Honey Garlic Chicken

THIS IS HEAVENLY! The only change I made was to use Italian seasoning instead of the oregano. I doubled the sauce, marinated with half, and baked with half. I will be serving this as the main dish for my first Christmas hosting the in-laws as a newlywed. IT'S THAT GOOD.

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
As suggested by other reviewers, I made the dip two days ahead and microwaved it as guests were arriving. It was delicious! I made it for a Christmas party and it went over pretty well. I don't know if I'll make it for a party again, as it is a shallow dip and it was hard for guests to scrape out of the pie pan. But I will definitely make it again for a lazy Sunday with my husband!

Deidra's Hot Wings

I have made these for the last two years at our Christmas party and there is never a single one left. I love that I can just make these ahead and throw them in the crockpot until guests arrive. The only bad thing is that my husband tries to steal them all before the party. :)

Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I made these for a Christmas party, but I used barbecue shredded beef instead of the ground beef. They went over so well that I didn't even get to try them until I made them again the next week. I found that the Grands Homestyle (I think that's what they are called - NOT the flaky kind) worked the best for me. I will surely make them again.

Sooo good. Sooo easy. My only problem is that I couldn't wait for it to cool before eating it. Crumbled everywhere. Still tasted great. Served it with a spicy hamburger soup. Will surely make again.
