Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast
This is a great recipe! I love the fact that you don't have to brown the meat beforehand. I started by putting a cut up onion, baby carrots and potatoes on the bottom of the pot and then putting in the roast and covering it with the onion soup mix and sauce. I used beef broth and a little red wine instead of water and had to add a flour mixture at the end to thicken up the sauce. It made the best gravy! The whole thing had great flavor and 9 hours on Low made for fork tender meat.
