About this Cook
I love to cook for my Husband and kids. They love being my little guinea pigs when it comes to new recipes. I take pride in making a great meal for my family.
My favorite things to cook
Anything new.. I love trying new recipes. I have to cook for a diabetic so working with new recipes creates challenges.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a potluck once a year and show off our cooking skills. You know yours was great when your dish is empty. You know it was the best if it is empty first.
My cooking triumphs
After finding out my husband was diabetic I had to learn how to cook all over again. I am learning something everyday.
My cooking tragedies
First time I made chicken and dumplings after I was first married, my water ran dry under my dumplings so when I poked into the dumplings they poofed and fell into the burnt mush at the bottom.. Being newlyweds my husband didn't want to hurt my feelings and still ate it..I begged him not but he did.. I knew then why I married him. We are still together today 11 years later and He says I am a much better cook now..

Buttery Rolls
Love, Love, Loved. Soft, fluffy and oh so good. Made them exactly as stated. Mixed together 1/2 cup of butter with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, 1/4 cup white sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon honey (adjust spices to taste) mixed together and put on the warm rolls with dinner. Excellent!!!!

Chicken Enchiladas II
My husband and sons loved this recipe. I am a seasoning junky so I added 1 tsp of ground cumin and 1 tsp of cilantro to the garlic butter mixture. It was great and so tasty. Thank you for sharing this one is going into my keepers!

Eclairs II
These are very good. I was looking for something for kids and guest that was different and you wouldn't normally see at a party. I made these with a little twist. I put the crust in a mini muffin tin staring the corners. After baked and cooled I filled with a layer of cream, added whip cream then drizzled with chocolate. It was such a sucess. I don't like to rate recipes without trying them as directed. However I made as recipe called I just made them with a twist and added whipped cream. Very good
