Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce
I love this sauce! I do make a few changes though. I brown the ground beef in a separate pan, use a can of italian diced tomatoes and a couple of diced ripe roma tomatoes with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano and italian seasoning and saute them in a little bit of olive oil until the raw tomatoes are cooked, then add the meat and tomatoe sauce and simmer (I like chunky sauce, so I don't blend it). I add the sugar near the end as I'm taste-testing, sometimes I add more, sometimes I add less. I skip the basil and bell peppers.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe
My husband LOVES garlic mashed potatoes! The steak house that we worked at had good garlic mashed potatoes, but we like these even better! I use garlic powder instead of real garlic, add a little onion powder, use russet potatoes and cheddar cheese rather than the more expensive romano. I just kind of eyeball how much to use for 2 people, I usually use 3 potatoes and get a lot! I really recommend this recipe to go with steak, we usually grill some bacon wrapped filets to go with these.

Garlic Corn on the Cob
I use this oven method of making corn on the cob every time I make it! I do change up the seasonings a little, I use salt, a little sprinkle of black pepper, and sometimes garlic or onion powder. When putting on the butter, I don't measure how much I'm using, but I use the spoon to spread it from end to end. This corn comes out a little firm, so I'll sometimes leave it 5 minutes more to get the kernels softer. (This may be related to my oven's temperature being off.) I also turn the corn every 10 minutes.
