These are really good if you add more garlic salt and spices. I made a double batch and added 4 or 5 of those spice packets from Little Ceasars to the dough.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

We loved this! I added a SMALL dash of nutmeg and sage, and used turkey sausage and wheat bread. After pouring it into the pan I added another small layer of cheese, a layer of pre-shredded hashbrowns, and then another small layer of cheese. Next time I'll try it with some mushrooms too. YUMMY!

This is way better than the canned stuff! I made my meatballs with ground turkey and added extra parm. cheese to them. I also didn't have any spinach, so used kale instead, which made it very yummy!

Mock Chicken Fried Steak

Hubby LOVED this! I made it exactly the way the recipe says except i used dried parsley and grated carrot to sneak some veggies into his diet. Served it with homemade hashbrowns and homemade brown gravy. Yummo :-)

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

This is good stuff. I made mine in a big roasting pan and when I made the sauce added an extra 2 Tbsp of butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar to make sure there would be enough to cover the popcorn. I also tried melting some red hots into it, but they didn't completely disolve.

Cake Balls

I tried these with Funfetti cake mix and white frosting(all I had). Trying to dip them on a toothpick is nearly impossible, so I had to go after them with a spoon. They turned out way too sweet and mushy for me, but they look pretty.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Yummy! Instead of using raw squash you can use 2 of the small frozen blocks of Birdseye squash. I also peeled some of the stringy parts off of the celery and pulsed it through my mini food chopper before adding it. I also added the carrots last and used shredded carrots to add some texture. This is really good with pumpkin walnut biscuits!

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade

This is yummy! I had the "great" idea to plant watermelons and pumpkins in the backyard this year, so right now I have about 7 big containers full of melon in the refrigerator just from 1. I started out with the full amount of fruit, but only about half of the lemon juice and sugar and worked up from there since it seemed like alot of sugar. Might try a bit of honey as a sweetener next time instead...

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Too sugary and just kind of blah. Might taste better if you used light cream cheese, light whipped topping, sugar free jello, and some powdered sugar in the cream cheese layer.
