Yummy...I doubled the amount of Creole/Cajun seasoning and added a couple minced garlic cloves. Just the right amount of spice/flavor...actually, if I wasnt making this for a large crowd I wouldve doubled the cayenne pepper as well! Also added about 4cups of rice to the cooker the last 30min of cooking time and that soaked up every ounce of juice but thats ok, I prefer a slightly drier consistency. Still feel like it needs something else though...next time I am going to add a can of tomato paste or tomato soup or something and I think that will be just right :)

Very good! 100 times better after the sauce sits over night! I used the Heinz chili sauce (oh & this recipe is on the bottle label...) I tripled the recipe and used frozen meatballs from costco (didnt have the energy or prepare 4-6lbs of meatballs..) The first night they were good, my husband ate em right up but I was not at all impressed. This statement sums it up perfectly: "Word of warning - do NOT use the Italian meatballs! The flavors fight each other and the sauce is the loser" Needless to say I used italian meatballs BEFORE reading the review....the flavors just didnt blend & the sauce was WAY TOO SWEET!!! HOWEVER, after sitting overnight and reheating the next day 100 TIMES BETTER! The flavors of the sauce 'blended' together much better & produced a great flavor that no longer was sooo sweet. Will make again!

Tripled the recipe AS IS and it was very good....smelled FABULOUS while cooking all day! Everyone was drooling over my crock pot :) Nothing too spectacular about it but it is a wonderful 'base' recipe and super super easy to put together. I would for sure make this recipe again!
