About this Cook
I've been married for 3 years now and my husband is still raving about the first meal I ever cooked him. It was a spicy shrimp pasta with a creamy cheese sauce. I like to wow him still and his family with my love of cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking dessert. I love making cakes that aren't dry and desserts that seem hard, but are real easy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, definitely. My mom and I like to cook things together. Now that I'm married I tend to bring in new recipes I want to try along with our traditional ones.
My cooking triumphs
Ok, don't laugh, I was extremely proud of myself the first time I cooked an egg over-easy and didn't break the yolk. I also taught a friend from Alaska to make Baked Alaska.
My cooking tragedies
One year I made my mom's Chuck Wagon Beans, which are delicious, and took them to a family get together. No one would touch them. They thought it was a bean soup. Instead they ate my carrot cake that happened to be incredibly dry. So instead of tasting my GOOD food they ate the yucky stuff. Luckily they've learned I'm actually a good cook.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers
Fantastic! I decided to make these today at the last minute and they were amazing. They weren't very pretty, since it was my first time, but they were great!
