About this Cook
Punk rock, photography, and baking...those pretty much cover it. I got to Texas A&M and study stupid computers, I want to own a business someday, of what I have no clue. I'm trying to get into skate photography and or zines or art on a local scale. I'm all about DIY, and food can be definitely 100% DIY. I've randomly lost 50lbs and started thinking veggies and fruits are good, so it's opened up a whole new world of things to explore with!
My favorite things to cook
Cupcakes! Cakes, brownies, cookies, cheesecake, anything baking. Loads of secret ingredients. Spaghetti, lasagna, homemade pizzas, tacos, fancy sandwiches, easy things like that.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom's cookie cutter cookies and cheesecake, the good dessert, dad's burgers, pot roast, homemade pizza sauce, curly fries on the curly fry machine. My own - spaghetti with meat sauce, tacos, lasagna, mashed potatoes...mmmm
My cooking triumphs
Cheesecake made without a mixer or spoons - had to mix with a knife, but it turned out amazing.
My cooking tragedies
Dropped the million pound lasagna while putting it in the oven...The cheese on top slid off, but it was still awesome!

Sugar Cookie Icing
This recipe is easy to make and easy to adjust according to what you wanna do - pipe or flood fill inside the piping. And it's yummy, especially on cookie cutter cookies that need an extra bit of sweetness! It spreads evenly and dries smooth and glossy, like professional cookies, I will definitely be using this when I want this type of cookie/icing pairing again!

Simple Orange Glaze
This is really good for a simple orange glaze - and it's all fresh and super easy to make! I ended up needing considerably more orange juice also, a little less than the juice from half of the orange I was using, to get the drizzly consistency I was looking for. But this was awesome!

Cream Cheese Frosting II
This frosting is fantastic. I think I had a religious experience the first time I tasted it. I put it on cupcakes and everyone said it was the best frosting they had ever had...I usually end up putting in a little more powdered sugar and evening it out with a tiny bit of milk, just until I think it tastes just right for what I'm doing. Also great for piping onto your cakes!
