Cranberry Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
This is an excellent cranberry dish. I made this yesterday with a topping and minor changes. I used a can of jelled cranberries, a can of whole cranberries, a large can of crushed pineapple, the cherries and as per another reviewer a small can of mandarin oranges. I drained the juices from the fruit and used it for the liquid to mix with the large box of cherry jello. I omitted the pecans at this point. After cooling to set, I made a topping using one 8 oz pkg of cream cheese, 12 oz. Cool Whip, 1/2 cup sugar and a small container of strawberry yogurt. I spread this on top, garnished it with fresh stawberries and sprinkled the chopped pecans on top. DELICIOUS!!!!!

Irish Cream Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
This was my first attempt at making Creme Brulee. It was excellent and I will make it again. I doubled the recipe and made ten ramekins for a party. I topped each with a chocolate dipped strawberry just before serving only because I had made a platter of them and forgot to put them out earlier. It added a nice touch.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
Even though I don't like this type of cuisine, I make this often. I know it is great because I have been asked for this recipe time after time. The last few times I made this, I added one or two teaspoons of chili powder. It seems to give it a little added flavor.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
I made this dessert for a party and everyone loved it. As per another review....I sprinkled half of a 4 oz. bag of Heath English Toffee Bits on top with the peanuts. The next time I make it I will use the whole bag using half in the middle also. Note: I used a 9 x 13 pan and used 24 Kemps ice cream sandwiches.

Everybody who likes sweets should try this recipe at least once. It's so easy, fast and DELICIOUS! You would never believe that the crust is saltine crackers. I will make this recipe again and again in the future.

Monterey Jack Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2001
I first made this recipe because I wanted to serve something "different". Everyone loved it! It's fun to watch people taste it for the first time and try to decide what gives it that different flavor. It's the Italian dressing. I didn't use the MSG and I like using 2 avocados.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2001
I've made this several times already and I am always asked for the recipe. It's the best! It tastes great hot and also once it cools to room temperature. I recently brought another dish to a potluck and everyone was disappointed because they thought I would bring my famous artichoke dip.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2001
This recipe was a huge hit with my family and friends. I used the 10" tortillas and a 10" round dish. I used Cheddar cheese instead of Colby and ground turkey instead of beef. It was even better the next day.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2000
This recipe is now a traditon in our family for Christmas. I put tablespoon size balls into mini muffin tins and bake. When I remove them from the oven I push the peanut butter cup into the ball and it forms a tart-shaped cookie. Make sure that the cookies are cooled before removing from the tins. This is now my family's favorite Christmas cookie.
