Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
After shaping, I let my loaves rest on an oiled baking sheet. I slitted the top before I let them rest. I covered them, and then left the house for a couple of hours. When I came back my loves were HUGE! I baked them and they came out perfect!! They look better than the ready made loaves from Publix..lol. Yippee! 5 stars!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Didn't have a springform pan, so I lined some round cake pans with foil and baked it that way. Pulled the foil up after it cooled and it slid right off. Excellent. Thank you.

Wow, who would have 'thunk' that boiling sweetened condensed milk would have turned into a toffee? Amazing!

Banana Banana Bread

This is a great basic banana bread. It is sure to please most. I did sprinkle about a half cup of old fashioned oats on top before baking. That gave it a nice decorated touch, and gave a nice texture to the top crust. Thanks.

Banana Waffles

Followed the recipe to the letter, only doubling it. I used a fresh banana, thought the waffles should have been sweeter. I might try it again using a ripe banana. Also thought the waffles were a bit soggy as well. I prefer a waffle a bit crisper. I even left them to cook in the waffle iron longer than suggested.

Clone of a Cinnabon

This recipe really is "the BEST!" I have made this recipe many times over again. This past time I was a bit lazy and decided to use store bought frosting instead of making my own. It was good either way. Sometimes I like to add pecans before rolling, and sometimes instead of the cream cheese frosting I like to top with a carmel topping, or an orange frosting just to change things up a bit. My mother loves it when I make these, and has requested that I make them for Christmas morning. Thanks!

Deep South Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This recipe was good as a basic recipe. I found that I prefered to add many different spices to tweak it a bit for added flavor. As is, was just a bit bland. If you are not going to be using cast iron, be sure to lower your heat even more than you would have with the first batch. For some reason my secon batch cooked too fast and I burned it just a bit. I would like to try this recipe again with cast iron. Only reason I deducted a star is because I thought it needed more spice.

Herbed Cream Cheese Omelet

The cream cheese really added a nice flavor, I would have never thought to use before. I skipped the herbs, and added some fried peppers, onions, cheddar, mushroom, and jalapeno. OH BOY, was this ever good. Thanks!

I like this recipe. I did make some changes second time I prepared. I added one tablespoon of sugar to the dressing, and also added crumbled bacon for extra flavor. Thanks!

Yummy.. The only thing different, was that I halfed white and halfed brown sugars, and instead of fresh I used 2 17 ounce cans of drained sweet potatoes. Came out perfect. Thanks!

Delish.. and I don't roll them out on a floured surface, I just shape into balls and then carry on as the recipe states. They come out perfect and in perfect shape. Thank you! My kids love em.

Muesli-Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
I loved the taste and texture of these muffins. I did replace the water with a half cup of gingerbread tea since the only spice I had was cinnamon. I loved it so much with the tea, that the second time I made them I added Sugar Plum spice tea instead of the half cup of water. I had a generic granola/flake cereal. I added cranberries and rasins one time, and also loved that. I did replace the white sugar with the brown, and sprinkled extra brown sugar on top before baking. Thank you for the recipe.
