About this Cook
I am married with two wonderful children and two great dogs. I love to cook and especially love to bake. Our family loves to entertain and provide great meals to our guests.
My favorite things to cook
I expecially enjoy baking, then watching others eat it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stuffed stuff! The two family favorite traditions that came to my mind first were the stuffed calamari and stuffed artichokes at Christmas!
My cooking triumphs
Took a loose flan than did not harden properly and an overbaked Coconut Cake - put both together in a large bowl and gave it to my sister to bring to a political dinner (never thinking that anyone would like it). The next day, my phone was ringing off the hook with requests for this recipe!
My cooking tragedies
Set the oven on fire trying to make a Blackout Cake. Then, baked two beautiful, picture-perfect cakes from scatch - a Crumb Cake and a Coconut-Banana Cake. As soon as my guests started to eat them, we realized that the shortening I used had gone bad! I thought it smelled funny, dah!

Cake Balls
What a great recipe!! These turned out great, look like they came from a bakery. Followed the suggestions of others; made the balls with my hands and put in the freezer before the chocolate coating. Thanks for sharing this.

Quick Gnocchi
Excellent and I goofed it up a little by buying powder instant mashed potatoes instead of flaky, I will definately make these again.

Sugar Cookie Icing
This icing was easy to use in decorating the cookies, hardened up nicely and tasted delicious. The kids loved it.
