I love to cook mostly but dabble in baking (not as successful). My husband and children have become more open to trying my experiments and mostly like them.

I love to try new things to cook, my family has learned to try it since we have something new at least twice a week. They have become great critics and I value their opinion.

I have adopted my husbands Italian roots. We all love pasta and I make it so many different ways. It is any easy but pretty presentation and great for company.
My cooking triumphs
We live in Michigan where hunting is a way of life. Venison is a tough meat to cook because of the flavor it has. I have learned to substitute and mix with other meats to get the maximum benefit from the leaner cuts.
My cooking tragedies
Early in my cooking I had no idea about meats and the cuts. We bought a nice prime rib already seasoned from our local butcher and thought how great it would be to BBQ it. The whole thing burned in seconds, it was inedible. I have since learned to not BBQ such finicky pieces at high.
