Chex® Muddy Buddies®

I did everything in the microwave. Its faster and a much easier clean up. Tastes very good! And I only ever use rice chex, better texture. I prefer this recipe to the Puppy Chow because it uses butter and vanilla, both add nice flavor.

Glazed Nuts

I tripled the recipe and used 1.5 lb walnuts and 1.5 lb Pecans. I love Pecans but even in bulk the 1.5 lbs cost me like $7 ouch. Kept everything the same but added 3 tea salt (1 tea/batch) to bring out the flavor. Sweet/salty is amazing. I gave these out for Christmas because I have some anti-junkfood relatives, these flew right under their radar ha ha. I had to keep in mind the people that might be allergic so I made puppy chow and Peppermint bark popcorn also. All good for making in bulk.

Puppy Chow

I prefer Chex(R) Muddy Buddies(R) recipe to this recipe because it uses butter and vanilla, both add nice flavor. Also, I used a microwave for melting.

Pumpkin Roll II

I made these for a Halloween bake sale this year but no one bought them haha. Maybe they were too expensive at $3 a slice but my roommate said she's pay that much for them lol. And now she will be eating most of them herself for free, lucky girl. I added 1/2 tsp nutmeg and allspice and 1/4 tsp ginger to give it more of a pumpkin pie taste. I used pecans instead of walnuts and like another reviewer recommended, I put the nuts in the frosting. Very yummy.

Chai Tea Mix

turned out great and did mostly the same, until the spices: 1 cup milk, 1 cup creamer, 2 cups vanilla creamer, 2 cups sugar, 1 1/2 cups instant tea ******spices******** 2 tea Ginger, 2 tea Cinnamon, 1 tea Cloves, 1 tea Cardamom, 1 tea Coriander, 1 tea Allspice, 1 tea Nutmeg.... Made about a double batch. You do not need to grind everything. Just the spices, as finely as possible. Everything else is designed to dissolve in water. F-ing addictive. Only problem is the spices that settle on the bottom. Anyone know how to make tea bags?

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Made these for my 23rd birthday party and they went over really well. I gave some to my bro because, as a broke college student with a half kitchen, he never eats any real food. I used 3 tbl Margarita mix instead of lemon juice and sugar (x2 because I doubled the recipie). People liked the lime-y taste. Joe helped and cut the chicken up while I mixed the marinade. I cut the skewers in half and baked the chicken in the oven in a casserole dish. I used tinfoil to protect the dish but I didn't do a very good job so it didn't work. For the first half hour I cooked the dish at 400 degrees with tinfoil on top but it was still pretty juicy so I cooked it another 15 min on 550 and the top layer browned a little. I took off the top layer served it, drained the juice out and cooked the bottom layer for another 10 minutes at 550. They browned pretty well after that but the dish was a bitch to clean in the end.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

I made a batch of these for my Dad and Bro and while I was sleeping my Dad at all the extras I had set aside for me and my room mates lol. But its ok because I just made more and put in 2 tea of peppermint flavoring into the batter. Much better. I warmed the butter/sugar/choco chips in the microwave using the defrost setting. And the second time I greased the cookie sheet, very good idea. The first time they spread like crazy but I think that was because the refrig door didnt close all the way when they were being chilled. The second time they didnt spread enough and I had to push them down a little.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

I'm wondering if they forgot an ingredient because I always had to add about a cup of water, give or take. But after that, they turn out great. I added chopped Andes mints. (you can find them pre-chopped in a bag) Of the three types of cookies I gave people for X-mas, this was the highest rated and easiest to make.

Watergate Salad

I 3x the recipe. I thought that 20 oz of crushed pineapple, instead of 24 oz, would be okay but it wasn't enough for my taste, might even want to add more than 24 next time. I used the 'extra creamy' cool whip and only used 1 tub vs. 1 1/2 tubs. I also put about half a package of cream cheese in. Definitely a hit with the folks and the roommates. But really, I made this salad because it's called WATERGATE SALAD. And thats badass. I did a little research and apparently it's called watergate salad because it was popularized around when all that Watergate stuff was going down.
