About Me
I just recently found out that I really enjoy cooking! I never really helped my mom in the kitchen, she wasn't much of a cook. So I'm really not sure where it came from but I love it. I have fantasies of my own personal bake sale I'd call it "Heather's Broke @$$ Bake Sale" I'm generally broke.
My favorite things to cook
Spaghetti Carbonara, Watergate Salad (awesome name)& baking of all shapes and sizes. I ALWAYS change recipes. I'm not entirely sure why. Sometimes I do weird hybrids and SOMETIMES they actually pan out. (Pear Custard Turnovers)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad makes a mad hot buttered rum. Most everything else from him was Hamburger Helper. From my mom, zip. My aunt taught me how to make scrambled eggs in the microwave.
My cooking triumphs
Most everything I make gets rave reviews from my roommates. My favorite I guess would be my pumpkin cookies. I totally pulled that one out of my butt.
My cooking tragedies
Usually involves burnination. Also gluten free flour. And the tragic "watermelon cupcakes" can not be forgotten.
