About this Cook
I just graduated from university this year and have decided to spoil myself for the next year by taking some time off to do what I love most... COOKING!!! I think this would be the best thing for me before embarking on yet more school. I'm currently living in the US with my boyfriend and studying for the LSATs.
My favorite things to cook
Too many items to name... Basically everything Asian and all sorts of desserts ranging from pies, cookies, and cakes. I also enjoy cooking breakfast foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking an extravagant breakfast for my family once a month.
My cooking triumphs
A prime rib dinner with numerous side dishes and all the fixings for my entire family.
My cooking tragedies
I once made a crab dip from a recipe I found on the back of a mayonnaise jar that tasted so bad and ended up so oily that no one in my family dared to eat it!!!

Carrot Cake III
VERY good carrot cake. i used only 1/2 cup oil but extra apple sauce (3/4 cup) and it still turned out fantastic. yummmm...

Stuffed Peppers
great recipe! the reason why i gave it a four star rating instead of 5, however, is that like other reviewers, i found that the stuffing only filled 3 peppers! next time, i will double the stuffing ingredients. my family had to share 3 peppers amongst ourselves for dinner!

Chicken Florentine Casserole
this recipe was good but it did have some problems. i found that 1/4 cup butter was WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much because after i finished baking this dish, there was a thick layer of oil on top that was less than appetizing. another problem with this recipe is that the amount of italian seasoning called for is too much. the dish tasted medicinal because of it! i would cut it down to 1 tsp so that the herbs don't overwhelm the dish. i made it a second time with these changes and the dish was delicious. it was perfect served with some steamed rice. thanks for the recipe!
