About this Cook
currently engagened, living in alaska. learning how to cook!
My favorite things to cook
ATM i am perfecting salsa :) i am more of a baker.I love to bake cookies, cakes, sometimes pies (not a pie eater) and than *attempt* to decorate them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lots of Alaskan Native foods!Salmon, smoke salmon, salmon dip, moose, moose nose soup, fry bread.so yummy.Every major holiday (christmas, thanksgiving) or "family get-togethers" my aunts always bring thier best native foods!i love my aunts home made smoked jar'ed salmon, and my other aunts salmon cracker spread. My grandma is the best baker i know.
My cooking tragedies
I just killed my last salsa with too much salt and jalapenos.though my fiance loves it and is eating it at the moment, i think he's crazy!

Sugar Cookie Icing
Once it drys, its pretty!Sets nice and hard. I didnt like the taste itself.Very powdery sugary taste. But once on a cookie, its not that noticable.
