I'm a newlywed who loves to cook! I have been experimenting with new recipes since I was about 12 years old and still enjoy trying new things. I love anything dessert - especially chocolate! I love to cook pretty much everything though, and I love trying out new recipes. Every other weekend or so my dad would empty out the fridge and make a meatloaf that we called "Mystery Meat". Sometimes it was delicious...and other times not...but it was always fun to see Dad mix his concoction together! I guess it would have to be the first time I made a cake from scratch - Carrot Cake - and it turned out fantastic! Other than that I would have to say every time some one says 'yum!' is a triumph for me! Ironically, the second time I made my carrot cake it wasn't cooked all the way through - and it was the only dessert for a Father's Day dinner! (The part that was cooked though was eaten right up - with the kids sticking their fingers in the still-gooey part!)
