Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
We had this for breakfast this morning and it was very good. I didn't make the sauce of the butter/syrup, etc. because hubby is picky about how his french toast tastes. We will definitely make this again.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
This was so good and so easy. It's a great way to feed a crowd. I did use the beef broth instead of the water. Yum!

Ultimate Party Meatballs

Nothing bad, nothing great. I made these today to take over to our neighbor's New Year Party. Maybe they'll like them better then me.

Mini Sour Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
I give these a 3 star with potential. If you want a plain, simple biscuit, then make these. They weren't bad, I was just hoping for more flavor and thought the sour cream would have done "something." I will make these again but I'll add some garlic powder or Italian seasoning or cheese or something to perk them up.

Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
This was good and easy. I didn't bother browning the chops first, I just threw them in frozen. It needs a little more seasoning/flavor to make it a five star.

Nice base recipe. You can easily turn these into garlic or cheesy potatoes.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
This gets 5 stars for easiness but 3 for flavor....it's bland/taste too much like tomato sauce. I added a bunch of garlic and some italian Seasoning. Not sure I'll make this again.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Yum. Got a big thumbs up from DH too which says something. I did use brown sugar instead of white and left out the hot sauce (personal preference). Will definitely make again.

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
These were good and simple. I started them off in the microwave and did the second bake in the oven. (too hot to run oven all that time). I'll doctor them up more next time.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
This was ok. I left it in the crockpot for a while and unfortunately the sauce took on the consistency of molasses. **UPDATE** I made this a second time and it turned out much better. I used an 18oz bottle of bbq sauce, 1/4C of water, and 1/2 of an Italian Dressing Packet. It turned out really well. We first ate it on hamburger buns. For leftovers, we put it on baked potatoes with cheddar cheese.

Alfredo Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
This was yummy and easy. I made the "quick alfredo sauce" from AR. It reheats well (butter doesn't separate). I added some leftover grilled chicken too for an all in one meal of leftovers.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
This is very good and oh so easy. I did have to let it sit for 8-10 minutes after removing from the heat before it thickened up. Also, make sure all that grated parm melts before you take it off the burner or the sauce will seem a little gritty. I used the reduced fat cream cheese, 1% milk, and 2 tsp of minced garlic. Next time, I'll add grilled chicken, shrimp, and some broccoli. This is a keeper.

Biscuit Bites

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
These were easy and yummy. I did use garlic powder instead of onion. Since the package of biscuits that I bought was 16oz instead of 12, I cut them into quarters with my kitchen shears. Next time, I think I'll brush on a little melted butter before sprinkling on the seasoning.

Banana Tortilla Snacks

This was very good and easy. I omitted the honey (allergic) and just went with the banana and PB. My tortillas were big so I just used 1/2 of one. Healthy, filling snack.

These were good. They remind me of the butter braids that my nephew sells every fall for a school fundraiser. I'd have these for breakfast with fresh berries instead of for dessert.

You can increase or decrease this for the number of kids you have...just keep everything in equal parts. If you want the dough to be a little firmer, add some flour.

Double Layer Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
This was easy and good. Make sure to eat the two layers and crust together. Separately they are "ok" but all together they are good. It reminds me of a no bake cheesecake. **UPDATE** After this chilled overnight, the taste of the cream cheese completely disappeared....now it just tastes like chocolate pudding with a graham cracker crust.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

This was good. It was very easy and did take about 50 minutes to cook. Probably won't make again since family says they prefer their cornbread separate from their corn. *sigh
