About this Cook
I love this website. It has enabled me to go from a person that calls my sister for step by step instructions on how to make an omelet to a woman that can whip up an amazing dish just by feeling. P.S my sister now calls me for help with cooking =) I just ran my first Half marathon completing it with my husband of 9 months! I also summit ed Half Dome in Yosimite, California this year.
My favorite things to cook
Anything healthy. My fav is tofu smoothies! You cannot even believe how long I tricked my husband for. It was about 2 years before he knew Tofu was a key ingredient =)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Shepards pie, dumplings, and of course roast beef Sundays =) I am a Brit what can I say!
My cooking triumphs
Friends and family really enjoying what I cook. I love to have parties and cook for everyone!
My cooking tragedies
Crying because I didn't have a potato masher! Hubby ran out and got one so that I would feel better about my cooking techniques. Now I don't mind if something turns out wrong because it is live and learn

Creolized Stuffed Chicken Breasts
excellent! My husband and our guest raved about this. The only difference i did was make my own blue cheese dressing b/c I had all the ingredients on hand for it. This is a very heavy dish so I pared it simply with roasted broccoli.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy
Excellent. My husband and our houseguest raved about it. I served it with roasted Broccoli and roasted new potatoes. I used FF Half/Half instead of the Whipping Cream and it was perfect. This was my first time cooking Pork Chops and they turned out delicious!

Bacon-y Bok Choy
Yummy! I too cooked the white parts first and then added the green after a few minutes. Great flavor! This was my first time cooking Bok Choy and we really enjoyed it.
