Chocolate Cherry Cake III

I had my doubts when I saw how simple this recipe is, but WOW. I'm glad I tried it. Followed directions exactly, except added 2 Tbsp. maraschino cherry juice to the icing after removing from heat. Scrumptious.

Raspberry Sauce

I loved how tangy this was; sweet, but not too sweet. Drizzled it over vanilla bean creme brulee with delicious results. Instead of pureeing, though, I simply strained the sauce through a sieve and didn't encounter a single seed. Just perfect. Will totally make again.

Sweet Potato Pound Cake

Perfect cake. It was moist, delicious, and had a beautiful texture. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out flawlessly. My family and I gobbled it up in no time flat. This will be a recipe I'll use a lot!

Marble Swirl Pound Cake

I took the popular advice and used only 2 3/4 cups flour and baked about 50 minutes. And yet, it was still a little dry. The flavor was nice, but I think this recipe could have used more eggs and maybe even less flour. If I make it again, I might be adventurous enough to experiment with 2 1/4 cups flour. We'll see.
