It's been awhile since we've done one of these and I'm in an annoyingly chipper loving life type of mood, so I'll share some of my Patty Simcox peppiness w/all of you and hope some of it rubs off.

Today's Cheese Special:

1.  Something specific that made you smile/laugh today

"Whatever, Martha"-that show cracks me up!  If you haven't watched it yet, check it out on FLN or youtube.  Hysterical!   (Mr. LTH makes me laugh every day, but you guys wouldn't get most of what makes us laugh, so I thought this was something universal that made me laugh.)

2.  Something you love about your physical self

I love my broad *swimmer* shoulders!

3. Something you're looking forward to this week

I'm looking forward to baking/decorating a cake (in the shape of a *party cup* - SOLO cup, think beer pong-) for our cousin's bday AND doing a celebratory bar crawl w/him and his wife and Mr. LTH!!!!

Hey YOU, stop!  There's no running off w/out posting.  Take a moment and write your answers below so we can all bask in the cheesiness!

1. Early here so my hot, steaming cup of coffee is making me smile and hubby made me laugh as I rolled out of bed...ok, stumbled out of bed. Did I mention I hate early mornings on work days? 2. I used to love my legs but at 45 and a few extra pounds I'm thinking "wow, my eyes somehow don't gain weight"! Amazing, gotta love 'em! 3. I am so looking forward to FRIDAY because I have the entire next week off to do nothing! (ok I have tons of stuff to do around the house but still! Yay! No work!) And I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your "cup cake"!

1.) My daughter dressed in her ladybug raincoat, ladybug puddle jumpers, holding her ladybug umbrella (birthday gifts from me!) and wearing her yellow plastic construction helmet (aka - Bob The Builder hat)...how can I NOT smile at that sight!? 2.) My eyes look cool on rainy days like today - blue eyes that look kinda blue/gray! 3.) baby shower alert - I get to shop for baby stuff for a friend's shower. That always makes me happy!

1.) I sent a hasty, early morning IM to Evin: "Ack! I can't sign into AR!" then had to sign off and head to the job. Her reply, when I got home a bit ago: "Don't panic! AR probably doesn't recognize you this early!" 2. I'd have to go with the broad shoulders, too. 3. Being DONE with the job I'm currently slaving over.

1.)My daughter gets up early this morning to sit with her daddy, only he's already gone. I'm her 2nd choice, so we sat together and fell asleep. 2.) I love my long curly red hair. 3.) Looking forward to Friday night. We usually go out to eat--no cooking for me!

1. When I brought DH home from surgery, Max, our lovable mutt, went right to him and put his paw on the good arm and just stayed there. Mr. Loyal. 2. My toenails- they're pink. Not much else at present. 3. Looking forward to Hubby's recovery.

1) TMFKADH just informed me he *needs* a microplane, or 3. This would be funny to you too if you could see our gadget collection. 2) My boobs have gotten bigger as I got older. 3) Three days off and invites to a drinks/nibbles party. (Pam-3Boys -- so touching -- take care of DH, Mr. Loyal and yourself ((go for bright red!!)))

LTH, you have the most creative personality. Only God knows where your thoughts come from but they are priceless! OK, for what it's worth..#1. A cartoon in our hometown newspaper about a guy stuffing into his cargo pants pockets til he looked deformed. That would be Honey! #2. Gotta be my green eyes. Not hazel but truly green to go with my redhair. #3.My 6 & 9 yo gr.babies told their mommy I needed them to come spend time with me since I just got out of the hospital and they could "help"! WHEEEEEE

GEMMY-I love that your "eyes don't gain weight", too funny! You may be seeing some big fat FLOP photos here soon w/this stupid cake. I'm getting ready to roll out the fondant and try to make it not as crappy as I think it's going to be right now...CHRISTINE-your daughter *sounds* adorable all ladybugged up! You should make a diaper cake for the shower!...DEBORAH-that Evil Mom is pretty witty, isn't she! I'll never forget the first time I went to the gynocologist she (mid exam, mind you) asked me if I was a swimmer?!! I was speechless for a moment, until I realized she was referring to my broad *swimmer* shoulders! I spent a lot of years hating them, but now I really appreciate them. They balance me out!...1gdcowgrl-I am UBER jealous of your red hair! I really want red hair. But w/a complexion that tans. :) ...3BM-Hope MR. 3BM's recovery is going well!!....GOODEATNZ-I was super proud of myself for deciphering TMFKADH! Then, I clicked on your profile and checked out your blog and learned I was in deed correct! LOVED your blog, BTW! ...SOUTHERNGMA-why thank you! I would never describe myself as creative, but I'd like to be! I'm also UBER jealous of your red hair, too!!!....CHRISTINE-That's too cute!!!!

Sorry, I HAD to post someplace to comment on the AWESOMENESS of the beer pong cake! Beer pong is near and dear to my heart, since the first (and only) time I ever played, it led to a drunken interlude in CB's truck that lead to BABY! Hah! Beer pong knocked me up! The cake is GORGEOUS. Proud of you, girl :)

TY, Evil Mom! I know it's not my best work, but I DID learn a lot from it for next time! Maybe that should be a new bumper sticker: Beer Pong...knocking girls up in trucks everywhere...

My favorite things to cook
I like to cook pretty much everything. I need more parameters to identify "favorite things"...am I *starving*, is it a weeknight, what ingredients do I have, am i looking for unique presentation, etc....?
My cooking triumphs
This varies from day to day. I get excited about every new *keeper* I find. And taking pics (though admittedly not very good ones) of food. It makes me happy to serve people food that makes them happy. It also makes me happy to eat aforementioned food (unless it has black pepper. Or celery. Or bananas. Or oranges. Or olives. Or cilantro. Or....
My cooking tragedies
Peanut Butter Cake II from this website. Do no, repeat: do not, attempt to put under-baked cakes back in the oven. On a wire rack. And fondant. Fondant is not for everyone. And I don't like people w/videos on You Tube that make it look so easy. EDIT: Since *discovering* MMF (Marshmallow Fondant-there's an excellent recipe here on AR), I'm no longer afraid of fondant, nor is it a tragedy! Rolled Buttercream Fondant, still a tragedy, for ME...
