As you may or may not know, I'm an educator.   And in education today accountability (for the teachers, silly reader, not the kiddos...) is king!  Therefor, when assessing pretty much *anything*, I feel a near compulsive need for a RUBRIC.  You see, if you asked my 2 departmental… MORE

So, as many RE *regulars* have noticed, I'd be kind of a PITA (er, Pain In The....) to cook for with my long list of food aversions.  In my defense, I recognize that the list is embarrassingly long AND I do continue to try all/most of the foods on it in an effort to be come less of a… MORE

My favorite things to cook
I like to cook pretty much everything. I need more parameters to identify "favorite things"...am I *starving*, is it a weeknight, what ingredients do I have, am i looking for unique presentation, etc....?
My cooking triumphs
This varies from day to day. I get excited about every new *keeper* I find. And taking pics (though admittedly not very good ones) of food. It makes me happy to serve people food that makes them happy. It also makes me happy to eat aforementioned food (unless it has black pepper. Or celery. Or bananas. Or oranges. Or olives. Or cilantro. Or....
My cooking tragedies
Peanut Butter Cake II from this website. Do no, repeat: do not, attempt to put under-baked cakes back in the oven. On a wire rack. And fondant. Fondant is not for everyone.
