Easy Chocolate Crackled Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This is a wonderful recipe if you are in a hurry to crank out cookies or need to bake in bulk. I love the original recipe of Chocolate Crackeles by C&H Sugar and this recipe doesn't not compare (different flavors), but it is still a wonderful cookie. I just had to crank out and bake 17 dozen cookies for a Halloween party and this was the recipe I selected- these cookies were the first to go and received lots of compliments on them. I also tried a few batches of "Snickerdoodles" using a white cake mix instead of devil's food and rolling them in cinnamon & sugar instead of confectioners' sugar--another delightful cookie. You have nothing to loose by trying this recipe--it is super easy, fast, and delicious.

Halibut Supreme

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
We really enjoyed this recipe, this is a great way to server halibut, as halibut is a very easy fish to over cook on the grill. The topping keeps the halibut so moist and delicious. I followed the recipe, but added 2 minutes under the broiler. Turned out wonderful and we will be making this again.

This was just deLisH!! It was easy to make and the results were amazing. Where I come from we call this HoneyComb, but I do like the other name 'Angel Food Candy' & 'Fairy Food Candy'. Thanks for a terrific and very well received recipe Debbie.

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
These yuMMy treats were a big hit at Christmas and in my holiday cookie baskets. I make a batch exactly the way the recipe calls for and throughly enjoyed it and for the holidays I did the rest of my batches with a red or green M&M on top rather than the pecan. HeLpfuL HinTs: (1) use the square grid-like pretzels ("Snyders" Butter Snaps). (2) use the square dove chocolates with carmel...they are a perfect fit and when finished baking they look great. (optional) switch the pecan for the M&M. EnJoY-- fast recipe with wonderful results. This will be a staple in my holiday cookie/treat baskets.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
This is my new perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and I have tried plenty. What I liked about this recipe is it really does live up to it's name. I followed the recipe, but I did add a little cinnamon. HeLpFuL HinTs: (1) make sure eggs are room temp. (2) do not over mix dough-especially when you add in the flour mixture. (3) refrigerate cookie dough at least an hour or freeze for 15 min before baking. (4) After dropping cookies on cookie sheet add more chocolate chips to the top/I mixed a cup of chocolate chips in the dough and reserved the other 1 cup for the top the cookies. (5) Beware, these cookies go FAST!! I made my cookies with a 1-1/2" large scoop and when they came out of the oven they were 3" in diameter. They look just as amazing as they are. I also make a second batch and rolled them out and refrigerated the balls to bake up at a moments notice. Don't just add this recipe to your box or print it up....Go For It and bake it up now-- you will not be disappointed. BiG thank you to ElizabethBH for sharing with us this recipe~ EnJoY!!

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
DeLisH!! OMG I am so glad I found this recipe, it is simply Sinful and you will not be disappointed. I followed the recipe completely and was so pleased with the results. I made this to bring to a Thanksgiving dinner and it was a complete hit and the first desert to disappear...so many people came back for 2nds. Here is the thing I wish I would have known...to place a baking sheet under the baking dish. This bread pudding rises in the oven, which caused mine to overflow a bit. This is also great the next day, you can even serve it at a brunch as a baked french toast. Try this you will not be disappointed, try it the first time as it is and then the next time alter it or enhance it to your liking. EnJoy...

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
OMG...this is just DeLisH!! I have been faithfully using a recipe for banana bread I have had since my Cooking class in middle school (Long time ago). I have never found a recipe I have liked that top or even compared to my faithful favorite. This is now my go to Banana Bread recipe, just love it, it turns out perfectly everytime. I have made the bread exactly like the recipe and it is just great. This is such a nice moist and dense bread. I have also made the recipe adding enhancements like walnuts, pecans, vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate chips, etc. I have used the recipe with 3 bananas and up to 6 bananas. Don't quite know what it is with this bread, but it turns out perfect everytime, exactly like the recipe or with enhancement or with less bananas (3), less sugar (1/2 cup), and less butter (6T). You must try this Banana Bread out and I highly recommend for the first time following the recipe exactly as written. Easy to make and enjoyed by all. Thanks Shelly!

Easy Grilled Tri Tip

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This was just the best and the only way I will now cook/grill Tri Tip. It was so full of flavor and so tender and best of all my husband loved it too. We did grill it and it marinated for 3 hours in a sealed ziplock. I would not change a thing with the ingredients. This would be excellent to prepare and marinate during your work day and then come home and grill, super simple with results that are unbelievable. Thanks for a great recipe that will get used on a regular basis.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
Did not care for this bland sauce, I followed recipe to a tee. I grew up with homemade wonderful sauces and I live in an area with wonderful sauces...so maybe I am just use to a more flavorful sauce. I am giving 3-stars as the meatballs were good although I would definately add more garlic and italian seasoning to kick it up a notch or two.

White Chicken Enchilada Slow-Cooker Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
I have to say, I followed this to a tee and it was a big disappointment. First visually it just is not appealing which and it is definately lacking in the flavor department. Made it for my whole family and no one liked it, even my husband who pretty much likes anything. If you are considering on attempting this recipe, I urge you to read the other reviews and follow their suggestions. I have never rated a recipe as low as this, but I have never been as disappointed. Again...read the reviews and take their advice and suggestions. Good Luck!

Banana Nut Bread Baked in a Jar

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This was just GrEaT!! I honestly was not sure what to expect when I first read the recipe, but after reading all the reviews I had to try it and I was not at all disappointed. The only spice I used was Cinnamon and I forgot the nuts (distracted by the kids). I used a Kerr wide-mouth Mason jar, but I did still have a bit of difficulty getting it out of the jar..I am going to search for the wide-mouth straight side jars and I am sure they will work much better. The bread is so good and moist- my family loved it and I plan to bake dozens of these around the holidays and decorate the jars. EnJoY!!
