My dogs loved these! I spent way too long the other day making a different, messy, complicated recipe and the dogs didn't even like them! These were so simple and the dough was really easy to work with. Next time I'll be making a double batch!
I also added a carob frosting to these and the dogs went nuts for them. I used: 12 oz softened cream cheese (you could use low fat, but that's not an issue with my dogs), 1 tablespoon honey, and 2-3 tablespoons carob powder. Mix it up, put it in a ziplock or decorator bag and ice the cookies. They will need to be refrigerated though! I put each layer (in a large tupperware) in the freezer for a few minutes to firm up the frosting then just stacked the next layer on top.
