I am Puerto Rican and foods rich in tradition are super nostalgic to me. and of coarse so good..and my mom is the best cook i know! christmas time is when we pull out all the stops :)

first time i cooked for my husband when we where dating i burned it (roast beef and potatoes).. so embarressing.. he ate it anyways (aawww)

Cioccolata Calda (Hot Chocolate Italian-Style)
this is so good, I add cinnamon and chilli powder to mine.. a little vanilla to the kids. very RICH..the kids also wanted it a little sweeter..

Banana Crumb Muffins
My kids ages 6 and 11 gobbled these up! followed the recipe to the T. Just added Cinnamon and vanilla to the batter and cinnamon to the crumb topping. My crumb topping melted :( wasn't crumbly, but I am sure with practice and better butter temp I will get it right...so very moist.. I ate 3 and never ever allow that! :)

Tuna and Chickpea Salad
easy and tasty :) I added a little more olive oil and lemon juice.. (I used fresh chickpeas that had been cooked and frozen then thawed) so they where a little drier than canned.. very good..will make 1000times more :)..oh and I had the artichoke with it! Perfect..and healthy
