I love to bake. If it has marshmallows or whipped cream, I'll make it again and again! Before Christmas, every single female in my family sets aside two days. We sit around a table, drink wine, and gossip... although the official purpose is to make chile rellenos and empanadas and tamales. We make a lot more gossip than food, though! I have a marshmallow/brownie recipe that I've been tweaking for years. At every potluck, my coworkers beg me to bring in my "world famous brownies" and the recipe. I don't cook very often, and I'm not very good at it when I do, so to me, this is a triumph! Many years ago, I was baking fresh apple pies with my mom. I was in charge of mixing the filling, and for two batches in a row, I mixed up tsp and tbsp. I was so upset that my mom had to throw out two large batches of expensive ingredients.
