Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
My husband had been asking me for weeks to get my grandma to make her famous "from scratch" chicken and dumplings for him. I finally decided I would try making them. I had a bad experience while making them several years ago, and swore I would never make them again. But, I found this recipe and it looked simple enough. So I made them for him while he was at work and when he came home he was so excited. He LOVED them!!! He loved them so much he wants me to make some more today!!! My kids loved it as well! The only thing I did different was to use chicken broth instead of water, and I rolled out the biscuits and salt and peppered them before cutting them into slices. I also added a little flour to thicken it up. It was so wonderful and very thick. We loved it!
