I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful children. My husband is in the USMC and my children are 2 and 4 years old. I am currently attending school pursuing a Bachelors degree Sociology. I am originally from Akron, Ohio but I reside in Jacksonville, North Carolina at the moment. I love baking cakes,cookies, and anything else sweet. I love my slow cooker. I also am a frying girl. I learned everything I know from my mother, whose specialty is southern comfort foods. But I love to experiment and add new dishes to my menu. My favorite family cooking traditions would have to be baking cakes with my mother and Christmas cookies with my fater, yes my father. He taught me everything I know about cookies. My mother is the expert when it comes to cakes and pies. My cooking triump would have to be when my husband and I got married and I moved in with him and he loved my cooking. I was so nervous! My cooking tragedy that my parents always bring up is when I was maybe 9 I called myself cooking breakfast and added way to much salt to the eggs. So embarrassing now, but I thought I did something wonderful at the time. lol
