I had two children by the age of 18, so I had to learn early on how to feed a family of four on a very low income. Now that I am getting older and my kids can help more in the kitchen, we are starting to learn more about cooking different foods and enjoying time in the kitchen. My oldest son especially likes to rate my cooking more than participating in the actual process, but that is okay with me. :)
My favorite things to cook
I always find myself falling back on the one pan wonders (skillet meals) and casseroles. It goes back to my routine of feeding many mouths on a budget. No matter what our grocery money is, up or down, I always fall back on these favorites because they are just good and familiar.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't have many family cooking traditions, so I am starting my own for my kids to remember. They will be always having home baked goodies on the counter and always sitting down together to eat dinner, no matter what.
