Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies
The author is right, these are definitely an ultra intense treat! But I would say that's an understatement! These are so over the top intense and rich that they can really only be eaten in VERY small amounts (I'm a chocoholic, and I love dark chocolate, sweets, etc. and I could only handle about a 2-tbsp serving size!). This was, amazingly enough, wayyyyyyyy too rich for me. And it wasn't very brownie-ish in texture - almost like not very dense fudge? I hate to say it, but as far as comfort food, and satisfying chocolate cravings, this was too much.

Blueberry Pie
I'm giving this four because I didn't follow the recipe exactly :) But, with the user-suggested changes, it was a 5 star pie! I used about 4 and a half tbsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp lemon juice, left out the cinnamon, and used thawed (and drained) frozen wild blueberries. I also used a pre-made pie crust to save time! I just cut hearts out of the 2nd pie crust and made sort of a lattice top with the hearts, and then made some cinnamon/sugar coated pie crust stars with the leftover dough. Delicious! My husband says it's the best blueberry pie ever! And he's very picky about pies :) I love that it is nice and tart and flavorful, not like the sort of flat-sweet-tasting pies you sometimes get at the store. Awesome, give it a try! -ara133photography

Blackberry Pie I
I didn't find this pie as simple to make with frozen berries as it seems to be with fresh. I thought 3 of the 10-oz bags of blackberries would be fine - was about 4C, but ended up having to run to the store to get 2 more bags AND used a bag of wild blueberries I had in the fridge for more volume! Baked it in a pillsbury crust I had put inside a 9" glass dish. I mixed 1/2 C flour with about 1/2 C sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon; put 1/3 of that in the bottom of the pan, then mixed the rest with the berries (in batches because I didn't realize I didn't have enough berries until I had already put the first batch into the crust!). I cut out stars and put a big one in the center and lined the rim with little stars... should have been more careful because the points have broken off on quite a few! Don't attempt unless you're feeling quite patient :)
