About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Healthy things! I'm all about finding healthy alternatives to cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pancakes on the weekends.
My cooking triumphs
I once made (for the first time) fried edamame wontons for a party. I made them (over a 12 hour span!), put them in a crockpot to keep warm, got dressed, then hosted the party. They were a smash and were all gone by the end of the night.
My cooking tragedies
There are many... let's just say that cheese fondue is an art that requires much know-how.

Almond Croissants
So good! The prep times listed are misleading though, since it calls for overnight refrigeration. Great recipe! I left little chunks of butter in the dough, and when it baked it tasted so good! Make sure to roll the doll very thin so you have alot of layers. Make sure not to add too much of the filling, less of this the better I think as it is VERY sweet and has a very strong almond flavor. I will be making this recipe again!

Zucchini Yogurt Multigrain Muffins
This is a GREAT recipe! I substituted a few things. I used all whole-wheat flour, and oats instead of oat flour. I didn't use any oil or yogurt. I added about half a cup of apple juice (to maintain consistency), and I didn't add any sugar. The first batch I made I didn't have any carrots so I used 2-3 times more zucchini than it called for. They turned out AMAZING! And they were healthy with the substitutions. The zucchini makes it very moist. The 2nd time I made it with carrots and it turned out good too. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Boiled Bagels
This is a pretty good recipe, however the bagels turned out very small. I was looking forward to them being smaller than normal sized bagels after reading the other reviews, as I feel normal bagels are too big of a portion, but these were too small. I'm a pretty skinny girl, but I had to eat two of these bagels as a breakfast to fill up. Other than that, it is a very good recipe. I used all whole wheat flour and they turned out great. I made some into cinnamon raison, and some into garlic sesame. If you do this, make sure to boil the sweeter bagels before the savory ones, though. I will definitely use this recipe again, but will make them into 6 normal sized bagels instead of 12 tiny ones. I also used brown sugar instead of white sugar... this turned out really good. Thanks for the great recipe.
