About this Cook
I'm a native Floridian who grew up with fresh produce every season due to my uncle being a farmer. However - South Florida is also home to all the tropical fruits - I enjoyed tangerines off our tree - along with Mangos and Homemade Keylime Pie. My favorite was Keylime Ade. Took a million of those little things to make a huge pitcher of "ade" but OOOOOhh my goodness - so worth the time.
My favorite things to cook
I've found everything is my favorite. From baking breads and pastries - to Slow cooker meals - to BBQ. Just pick something - and I'll give it a go!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in South Florida - a combination of Deep South Cooking - mixed with the international flair of the tropics - Spanish and Cuban food was an occasional treat - mmmmmmmm FLAN!!!!....... Or.. Black Beans and Rice. Not mention those huge pots of Pinto beans and pork. But mostly it was downhome "Paula Dean" type cooking. Collard Greens - Eggplant - Squash - and all of it so fattening that as I've becomed more experienced I've had to overhaul the recipes to make them more "artery" friendly!!

Portuguese Sweet Bread I
I have made this recipe about 6 or 7 times now. And every time - the loaf doesn't even get to cool before my family eats the whole thing. Great Flavor - easy prep.
