I made these for my canasta gals. I did the OJ substitution for the water. Great flavor. I think I'm still in search for the perfect ginger cookie, though.

This is the most forgiving recipe ever!!!! I accidentally put in curry powder instead of chili powder....I had made the black beans from scratch (as in soaking and boiling them), all of the vegetables (including zuchini) were chopped, etc. I doubled the chili powder and the other seasonings (I refused to just dump it). My husband LOVED the soup - mistake and all. Will make it again, for sure! Also added sweet/spicy jalapenos with the juice. Great recipe! Thanks!
