Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
These pancakes are delicious. I substituted the melted butter with grapeseed oil. I imagine they're even more delicious with the butter, but I was in a bit of a hurry making these. Do try!

Blue Ribbon White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
This is the softest bread I've ever baked. I also doubled the yeast and used butter instead of shortening. It tastes similar to a croissant. I still brushed the loaves with butter and put a dish of water in the oven. Delish!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

This is a delicious chicken recipe. If there were anything that needs changing I would deifinitely tell you, but there is nothing. Perfect as written! Just the right amount of sweetness and tartness.

Fabulous French Loaves

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
This is a great beginners' bread. It turns out wonderfully every time for me. I follow the recipe exactly most of the time. I don't always have sesame seeds. The more you bake it the better it always turns out. It makes four loaves for me which means I always give away 2 or 3 loaves and people love it. :D I recommend this recipe to everyone, especially beginners. Also wanted to add that I do knead this to a stiff dough and it really is fabulous.

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
This recipe's ingredients are yummy. :) I love the nuttiness. I didn't think it was too sweet or that it needed more salt since I used salted butter. Mine turned out a little dense because of my impatience...it could have risen a little bit longer, but that was my fault. I should know by now that great bread is worth the wait. And I did do this the traditional way. There are other comments telling how. I do recommend this bread.

Thai Chicken Curry in Coconut Milk

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
The recipe called for way less curry than needed for the amount of chicken used.

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
These did not taste very good to me. I think next time I will cream regular sugar into the butter and grind up regular sugar to coat these in. All I tasted was walnut and the cornstarchy sugar. Obviously, these are not meant to appeal to everyone's tastes so I'm not saying they weren't okay. I did rate this recipe three stars because the texture was fine. I just would not make these for anyone with my tastes. I'm so glad I halved the recipe instead of baking a whole batch.

Maple Pancakes

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and don't think these are tasteless at all! I think it's the maple syrup you use that makes the difference. Anyway, these are the best pancakes I've ever made. I've used a few recipes from this site and wasn't impressed until I used this one. Just be sure to use the best maple syrup you have or can get. :D

Milky Tea

Smells lovely but too sweet. I strongly suggest reducing the amount of honey and vanilla. I too was worried about the amount of vanilla when putting everything together. I'll try this again with less sweetness.

It's very good. Just a little bit too sweet and chewy for me. In my opinion, this dough is much better for rolls than loaves.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

I don't know about everyone else, but my husband and I think this chicken tastes almost like chicken cordon bleu. I used Italian seasoning in the cheese since I didn't have any chives on hand and it turned out delicious.
