About this Cook
I'm a college student at UNC. I grew up with the traditional southern cooking, but in the last year or so as I began to create my own menus and meals, I began to branch out and try new things. I love to experiment! My family refuses to eat anything i make simply because it isn't familiar, but I like it and that's what matters to me.
My cooking tragedies
making caramel...it hardened in the bottom of the pan...what a nightmare.

Summer Squash Bread
this was a good recipe for using up all that extra squash from your garden! I thought it was good, but it was way too sweet. If you make this, definitely follow the advice of others and cut down on the sugar.

Green Bean Stir-Fry
I loved this one! definitely a recipe to keep. My family eats so many green beans, they tend to get quite boring, but these I could probably eat forever. thanks!

Tofu Keema
I really didn't like this...maybe I made it wrong I don't know. at first. I'm not really used to indian food, though-I tried to dilute the flavor a little with chicken broth, and then I thought it was too bland. Oh well. whatever went wrong was probably my fault. Thanks anyway for the recipe.
