My precious little cook
Pumpkin cookie
Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes
My son's 6th birthday cake
My daughter's 2nd birthday cake
About this Cook
Wife and mom of three with very picky kids. I love to bake. Cooking is fun, but baking is my bag, baby! I HATE to clean dishes, so I don't cook as much as I would like. I just need a maid and I would be a chef. :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake pies, cakes, cookies and CUPCAKES!!! I have no favorite, I just love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
baking & decorating cookies for Santa every Christmas Eve, green bean casserole for the holidays, amazing pecan & chocolate pie recipes from my grandmother, baking all of my children's birthday cakes every year and my husband's gourmet sandwiches that dirty every appliance in the house
My cooking triumphs
my children's birthday cakes, my decorated sugar cookies (I use to be a cookie decorator for a cookie company) are always a hit, any recipes that I can use my slow cooker for, and improving upon my grandmother's chocolate pie recipe (I didn't think it could be done, but I done did it, yessiree!)
My cooking tragedies
Too many tragedies to mention. I am a serial overseasoner. I learned it from my Dad. Everything has to be super spicy, so my taste buds have been in overdrive since childhood. That has been hard to overcome, but I am still working on it.

Crunchy Romaine Toss
Awesome recipe! Even my very picky kids ate it.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way
Everyone raved! It was only the 2nd time I have ever cooked a turkey and it was delicious! I made it exactly as the recipe said, except for rubbing butter on the whole top side of the bird before baking. It made it nice a golden brown.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
I screwed it up and it was still amazing. I didn't wait to put in the cream of chicken soup (I put it in at the beginning) and added a little black pepper in at the end & some cooked whole wheat egg noodles. It was so good! Wouldn't change a thing!
