Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

The tasers have spoken and they like this Dip! Even folks who were unsure about artichokes tried it and liked it! We did substitute 1 brick cream cheese for the heavy cream- delightful!

Hamburgers and Ketchup Gravy

Crazy as it sounds, this wasn't half bad. We added worcestershire and made them as meatballs. It really helps to like ketchup a lot!

This was a 5 according to tasters. It was tasty, cheesy and balanced flavor wise. It could have more/less of any of the ingredients to match your tastes. great comfort food.

Roast Beef with Coffee

The name threw some folks off, but once they tried it they liked it. We took the hint from a few others and marinated the roast in red wine vinegar (to tenderize) for 2 hours. We also used beef stock in place of the water.

Lobster Bisque

We are on a school budget so we used Lobster "sticks", canned crab and shrimp to flavor our Bisque. It was wonderful!We added a small can of tomato paste for color and flavor. We also added some seasoned salt and Old Bay. Remember to add the seafood for only the last 40 minutes or so. Add it too early it will be tough.

Bavarian Apple Torte

Well to tell the truth we made a mistake and added 2xs the butter to this recipe. The results were Fantastic, but messy while cooking. The Tasters loved it! This is the perfect combo between a pie and a cheesecake style dish.

Cheesy Shrimp Meltaways

Wow were these rich! We made them 2 times, with small shrimp and with canned crab. Both were magnificent! Tips for success: Use half of the butter called for: can be a bit greasy, Use english muffins: bagels dont work as well, and Kraft Old English cheese spread: Velveeta won't cut it. They freeze well and are soooo good!

Folks loved this- fancy, without being difficult. The hardest part was peeling and cutting all the apples. We used sweet and tart apples, but next time would skip the tart ones.

This muffin had great flavor, but it was really dense. The taste testers didn't care for the texture especially after they cooled. We used all white flour, but didn't think that was a big factor.

Apple Crisp I

This was a hit with the crowd! We used Granny Smith apples and followed the recipe to success. We doubled the recipe to make 2 so it spread well across 2 pans.
